Elephants in the Festival Parade
Miami County Historical Museum
Peru Amateur Circus
Carden owned elephants.
There aren't pictures of the parade this year due to the rain.
The rain held off when the elephants were at our
viewing spot, fortunately.
The circus had many more acts and displays than shown.
A visual treat for me was seeing Harold Mizer before
the circus performance. Sandy Ploss long time
Executive Secretary retired. My elephant blanket was
offered for use in the parade but the handlers and I decided
due to them being unfamiliar with the blanket it was best
to not use it this year...maybe next year if they are
able to practice with it prior to the parade so it
doesn't spook them...wouldn't want them spooked...
Also, I didn't want to use it if the weather went sour...
and rained on our parade...
May All Your Days Be Circus Days
